Just getting started here and working backwards through time.
While the Rough Riders name only came into serious play in 1898, it will be used for the years prior to that (when I get to them) for the sake of clarity, simplicity and consistency.
Some of the dates are estimated. There were no Sunday papers at the time. The majority of summaries were on Mondays, but they did not always specify if the reported game was played on the Saturday or Sunday. Most of the time it was the former so that's what I went with.

* Rough Riders were awarded the victory as a result of Hamilton attempt to withdraw from the ORFU and refusing to play. Ottawa played an exhibition game against McGill instead and defeated them 17-12.
