The EOSSA championship game was discontinued because, as stated in the November 15th, 1947, Ottawa Citizen, "the district teams did not generally meet up to the Ottawa standards"
In 1944, 1945 and 1947 (and perhaps beyond, that's TBD), the Ottawa senior high school champion would meet a team from Montreal in a home and away series.
